Jalapeño Chili Pepper Seeds

Medium-hot chili peppers with rich flavor and abundant harvest

Jalapeño is one of the world’s most popular chili pepper varieties. Originating from Mexico, its name comes from the city of Jalapa in Veracruz. The Aztecs used Jalapeños long before the arrival of the conquistadors. Today, they are grown worldwide for their flavor, aroma, and moderate heat.

Characteristics

  • Compact, medium-early, and high-yielding variety

  • Plant height: 70–100 cm

  • Harvest: 25–35 fruits per plant

  • Fruit: 5–10 cm long, 2.5–4 cm wide, smooth glossy skin, thick walls

  • Color: green when immature, turning bright red when ripe

  • Taste: moderately hot, rich, and aromatic

  • Heat level: 2,500–8,000 SHU (mild chili)

Nutritional Value

Jalapeño peppers are rich in vitamin C, lycopene, and capsaicin, known for pain-relieving and immune-boosting properties.
