Beetroot Goldena eye. Beta vulgaris var. esculenta.
Medium early variety. Orange-round yellow roots.
The roots are suitable for fresh consumption, can be preserved, baked, stewed, decorated dishes, can be stored for winter.
You can use the new pages as spinach.
Yellow beetroot is much softer in taste than Sarkana beet, and is highly suited to those for whom red beetroot doesn't particularly go to heart.
Beet is not very demanding in terms of growing conditions, but it is best grown in open, sunny areas on sand clay or clay sand soil.
Beets are fairly moisture-demanding roots and will best grow on lighter soils that don't store moisture that well.
Sown too early, beets are often overgrown, so you don't have to rush with sowing when growing for winter. Beet is sown from April to June.
During growth, the main care work is thinning the sprouts, curling the line spacing while also destroying weeds, as well as supplemental fertilizer and watering.
10 seeds per pack.
