Coriander. Coriandrum sativum L.
Coriander seeds are sown early in spring – at the end of April, at the beginning of May, seeds can also be sown in autumn before soil freezes.
Coriander is sown in rows between 35 cm and 40 cm, the seed sowing depth between 2.5 cm and 3 cm.
Coriander seeds start to germinate when the air temperature is 4-6 ⁰ C, while the optimum temperature is 18-20 ⁰ C.
Coriander seeds sprout slowly, 18-20 days.
After sprouting, the coriander is rowed, the soil is sprinkled. Coriander shoots can withstand frosts up to minus 7-8 ⁰ C.
