Cornflower flowers contain anthocyanins, flavonoids, glycosides, which give a bitter taste, so you can't put a lot of the drug in teas. The infusion is prepared as follows: pour a teaspoon of calyx with a glass of boiling water, leave to infuse for 30 minutes. Strain and drink 1/3 three times a day before meals during the day. Used as a diuretic and anti-inflammatory agent.

Cornflower infusion is also useful for kidney inflammation, colds, edema, kidney stones, conjunctivitis. It can be used both orally and in the form of compresses.

An easy-to-grow plant, which is suitable for moderately moist, well-drained, neutral (pH 6.6-7.5) to slightly alkaline (pH 7.6-7.8) soil. The plant also tolerates poor soils. It likes to grow in a sunny place.

Sow in the field from March to May ~0.5 cm deep.

Seeds germinate in 14-28 days.

Thin seedlings to ~25 cm apart.

A great nectar plant that attracts both bees and butterflies.
